O AIT organizou uma nova trip para seus estudantes internacionais. Desta vez, visitamos Burren, no Condado de Clare, situado um pouco mais de uma hora de Athlone. Por sorte, tivemos um dia ensolarado na Irlanda.
(The AIT organized a new trip for the international students. In this time, we visited some places located in the Burren, Co. Clare, a little more than an hour by bus from Athlone.Luckly, it was a sunny day in Ireland.)
The first stop...Dunguaire Castle!
Um Lindo castelo datado do século 16, aberto aos visitantes durante o verão.
(It is a beautiful 16th century tower house that is open to tourists during the summer.)
Corcomroe Abbey
Monastério do século 13, rico em esculturas e com detalhes não encontrados em outros monastérios da mesma época.
(It is an early 13th-century Cistercian monastery and is rich of detailed carvings that can not be found in others monasteries from the same period.)

Burren Birds of Prey
Aqui se encontra a maior e mais variada coleção de aves de rapina do país. Além disso, assistimos uma apresentação com as aves, onde alguns de nós teve a experiência de ficar um pouco mais perto deles.
(It is the largest and most varied collection of Birds of Prey in the country. Firstly we had a little tour to see some of the birds of prey followed by an amazing birds presentation, when some of us had the experience to stay so close of them.)
Aillwee Cave
Uma das mais antigas cavernas da Irlanda. O tour pela caverna foi supervisionado por um guia e durou cerca de 30 minutos, onde vimos várias formações datadas de muitos, muitos, muitos anos atrás.
(It is one of the oldest caves in Ireland with spetacular views. A guides gave us informations during the tour which takes almost 30 minutes, where it was possible to see lots of formations dated from a long, long time ago.)
To finish the day, we had time to have a picnic.
